This is a huge improvement over the built in USB 2 devices. In the case of my Dell Latitude E6410, I was able to insert it (yes, it's tight) and I was able to remove it without problem. "It works well with a Dell Latitude E6410 and it's possible to insert it and remove it" I was able to get drivers and have it running on my Mac, but that was a bit of a tech-savvy challenge.
I ran an iperf from my desktop to this nic connected via a 1Gb/s link and determined that the actual throughput ranges from 850-950Mb/s. (Pasadena, CA USA) (read below). USB 3.0 Driver Installation I found a driver online that I thought was probably correct and then inserted the card.
