It is a ten minute walk into the city and another ten to the Citadelle.
The breakfast was also very good with a good variety of fresh food available, this is not always the case in France. We took a taxi and visited the Citadelle again the next day and meandered back through this lovely old city before taking a train on to Luxeuil les Bains in the afternoon.
